- Soie Perlee is a twisted 3-ply filament silk
- Soie Perlee expands to fill the area when used with light tension, unlike pearl cotton
- Very durable for canvas work, compared to pearl cotton threads which lose their sheen quickly
- Top and bottom of spool lifts up with ease in securing the thread
- Can be used for cross stitch on linen
- Makes for beautiful cording and tassels for needlework finishing
- Can be doubled for 18 count canvas tent stitch
